Following their first world tour in the United States back in 2023, High Up Entertainment girl group, STAYC have returned with the STAY TUNED tour. The tour originally started back in April in Seoul, with the North America leg starting in October. The San Jose Civic opened their doors on October 5th, 2025, to host the group’s first show in San Jose.

Prior to the show, fans were able to visit several vendors. The merch booths were the first things you were able to see and there were two with multiple workers to serve more fans at one time. Merch included shirts, jerseys, and albums, among other things. There were also concessions that included some Korean snacks. Around 8:00 pm, the music raised and lights dimmed as the concert was ready to begin.

After a VCR introducing the members played, 6 silhouettes walked out onto the stage. One by one, a spotlight shined on Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J in black dresses, accented by silver jewelry. With songs like “Bebe”, “1 Thing”, and “Poppy”, this first set started the show with an explosion of energy. When your CEO is also the producer, you get new mixes and clean transitions for your sets, keeping things fresh and seamless. After this set, the members took a moment to introduce themselves one by one. Their introductions were in English, a nice touch for the audience, but they also had a translator for the show. The members couldn’t hold their reactions to how much the crowd cheered for them. After teasing the next song with charades, it was time for the next set.

The next set gave contrasting songs in the form of “Beautiful Monster” and “Cheeky Icy Thing”. Both songs had slightly different arrangements from their originals, but the themes remained. One being an acoustic and vocal piece and the other a pop-house song. Cheeky Icy Thing added a section to clap along to and and dance break, a welcomed surprise. An eerie VCR played to introduce the concert’s concept. It almost felt like something out of Squid Game. The video also served as an introduction to the unit stages.

First up for the unit stages was Sieun, Seeun, and J, performing steady but bumping, “Find”. The three members complement each other well with their contrasting singing styles. ISA followed up with the smooth R&B vibes of “Roses” for her solo stage. This kind of stage is uncommon for the group and it’s always nice to see them branch out. Sumin and Yoon performed their rock ballad “Fakin’”. Next, the rest of the group joined on stage in their colorful dresses for “YOUNG LUV”. This rock ballad gave them a break from choreography to focus more on their vocals. A ment followed for the members to discuss their previous set and talk about local attractions.

The members then gave a set of more subdued songs with “Beauty Bomb” and “Meant to Be”. These songs were more laid back with the R&B and pop-ballad genres before going back to their high energy title tracks. During their next ment, to help transition us back, they tested the audience’s energy with a singalong of the next song, acapella.

Right out the gates with the booming bass of “I WANT IT”, the members performed a high-energy set. With songs like “Bubble” and “Trouble Maker”, this set got the audience jumping around. During Trouble Maker, you could see Sumin running around the stage, filming with an action camera. Eventually she walked through the audience to gift it to one lucky fan. A VCR played, showing their evolution as a group. This concept led well into their next set.

The following set started off with the first track off of their Metamorphic album, “Twenty”. This rock-ballad feels like the embodiment of the VCR that was shown. “GPT” and “STEREOTYPE” followed with new arrangements. Synth parts were added and an island vibe were added respectively. These sets continued to give fresh renditions for their tour.

To close out the main show, they saved some of their biggest hits for last. “RUN2U”, “ASAP”, “Teddy Bear”, and “SO BAD” wrapped things up. During “ASAP” they put in a fun copy dance section, at this stop, Yoon did the All Day Project’s Wicked dance. These songs had new arrangements as well. Before going to the last song, during a ment, Yoon had to calm the audience down after all of the cheering that was happening. The members also hosted a cheer contest between different sections of the room. After teasing the end of the concert and their last song, the members exited, until the eventual encore.

After a sing along, the final VCR rolled as a culmination of the ones before it. When “Gummy Bear” began to play, the audience may have been confused at the empty stage, but excited at the sight of the members walking through the aisles of the crowd. For most of the song, they interacted with the audience before finishing the performance on stage. After individual goodbye speeches, it was really time for the last performance. It was only fitting that the final song was their fan song, “Stay With Me”. The lyrics showed on the screen to help fans sing along one last time for the show.

For their second solo world tour, they definitely evolved while still being the STAYC that toured the first time. I really enjoyed the arrangements of sets and how they were freshened up for the tour. It was a joy to see how the members reacted to the audience's cheers. I look forward to their future US tours.
